Design & planning support03Questions
Before you get in touch.
What size of project does Chiltern take on?
Our typical construction projects start from approximately £20,000. We focus on substantial residential work, such as new builds, extensions, loft conversions, conversions and full refurbishments, rather than small handyman jobs.
Which areas do you cover?
We work with homeowners, property investors, developers and landowners across London, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. Development and joint venture opportunities are assessed individually.
Can you guarantee planning permission?
No. Chiltern assists with and coordinates the planning process, working with architects and planning consultants, but decisions are made by the local planning authority, so approval cannot be guaranteed.
Will I have to manage the trades myself?
No. Chiltern manages the different trades as one coordinated project, giving you a single point of responsibility rather than numerous individual subcontractors to manage.
I already have a builder. Can you still help?
Yes. Our project management service is for clients who already have their design, contractor or trades in place but want an experienced construction professional to manage programme, quality, health and safety, cost awareness and reporting.
Do you work with property investors and developers?
Yes. We provide early construction input, refurbishment budgeting, programme planning, design coordination, procurement, construction and handover, and we aim to build long-term relationships rather than complete one project and disappear.
Are the large London developments on this website Chiltern projects?
No. Blackhorse View, Wembley Park Gardens, Naseberry Court and Hope Wharf are developments our Director, Radu Radu, worked on during his previous employment, before establishing Chiltern Refurb & Project Management. They show the experience behind the company, not work contracted or delivered by Chiltern.
