01Why Chiltern
Not another local builder. Your project, run like a major development.
Chiltern Refurb & Project Management was established with a straightforward objective: to bring the management standards, systems and attention to detail of major residential developments into private residential construction.
Every project is planned, sequenced, inspected and reported on, with a single point of responsibility from design and planning through construction to handover. Construction-led, not sales-led.
What goes wrong on poorly managed projects, and how we manage it
- Weak communicationRegular, clear reporting
- Inadequate planningPlanned and sequenced before site

03How we work
Six things we manage on every project.
These are the standards major residential developments are held to. Chiltern applies them to every project, whatever its size.
01
Quality
Work inspected stage by stage against the drawings and specification, not only at the end.
02
Programme
A realistic construction programme, properly sequenced and actively managed.
03
Cost
Cost awareness from design onwards, so decisions are made with the budget in view.
04
Safety
Health and safety planned and managed for everyone on site and everyone living around it.
05
Communication
Clear, regular updates on progress, decisions and anything that affects programme or cost.
06
Accountability
One point of responsibility for the whole project, from the first conversation to handover.
04Concept to completion
One programme, from the first sketch to handover.
Problems are cheapest to solve on paper. We consider buildability, cost and sequencing from the start, then run construction to a managed programme with quality inspections at every stage.

06Leadership
Led by a Senior Construction Manager from major London developments.
Our Director, Radu Radu, has more than 10 years' experience in construction, progressing from Graduate Site Manager to Senior Construction Manager. He has been involved in managing major residential developments with project values of approximately £35 million to £135 million, across the complete construction lifecycle.
“Construction is what I know and what I genuinely enjoy. My aim is to take the experience I've gained delivering major developments and use it to deliver projects for homeowners, investors and developers with the same emphasis on planning, quality, safety, programme and accountability.”
Previous professional experience
